Yarn, Yarn, and more YARN

So you have decided to crochet or knit something! You have your needles, or you have your hooks. Now you need the most important ingredient.

Yarn! There are many different thicknesses and colors. Here is an example of the different thicknesses
I didn't have the exact sizes so some of them are approximate. There are seven main sizes. The sizes are from largest to smallest in the picture.
The most popular thickness out there is worsted weight yarn. It comes in many colors and in a large abundance! Also if you are into amigurumi, worsted weight yarn is the best option.
Yarn also comes in different textures. There is yarn like ribbon or yarn that is made out of old t-shirts. Yarn that can stretch, yarn with fuzzy balls on it, and so many different ones! I would love to test out some different textures of yarn!
Yarn also comes in almost any color you want! Pink, blue, brown, purple, and so many more colors! Yarn comes in such a huge variety of colors and textures.

I LOVE yarn! I have collected quite a stash as you can probably tell from the pictures. I started out with one skein or ball and somehow (I'm not really sure how) it has grown a whole box full! I am going to have to weed through it sometime.

When you use thicker yarn or yarn with different textures you will want to use a bigger hook. and if you use thinner yarn you want to use smaller hook.

What kind of yarn is your favorite? Do you have a favorite texture or thickness you like to use? I would love to hear what other crocheters and knitters are using!

Talk to you soon,
